Было чуть не сдался с попытками подружить Obsidian и NextCloud для Android с его двусторонней синхронизацией по Шрёдингеру, но... Да, их не подружить.

Зато в обход бесполезного NextCloud-клиента выручает клёвый WebDAV-совместимый плагин Remotely Save для Obsidian, чтобы всё-таки гонять в Nextcloud. Установил пароль приложения для прохода без 2FA/TOTP, интервалы синхронизации, триггер при сохранении файлов и единую конфигурацию на устройствах. Всё работает плавненько, и я могу не переживать из-за всяких там конфликтов.

Is there a "position cursor at the bottom of the file by default" plugin for #Obsidian? I'm not talking about "remember cursor position". Always at the bottom. Per-file would be nice, but for all opened files is acceptable. Yes I know I can search.

Ich habe immer größere Freude an Obsidian. Der Umstieg war eine gute Entscheidung - ebenso wie kürzlich auf Home Assistant.
Jetzt installierte ich auch den Obsidian Web Clipper, mit dem schon ein paar Webseiten und Clips als .md reinkopiert wurden.

Having fun with Google Calendar events and #Obsidian meeting notes:

Automation:
- Sync in Apple Calendar
- Apple Shortcuts to export today's events (1 ICS file per event )
- Node script to merge events in one single ICS file
- Apache server to make ICS file available to HTTP clients

In Obsidian:
- “New note” in relevant folder

Been using Obsidian for a while now. It has been a decent experience, but I am getting tired of having half-broken sync options. Their own Sync works very nicely, but I just don't have the budget for it.

Trying out Anytype now. I can self-host it. It is a beast, but wow, I missed a Notion-ish setup. It does pain me to have the rootless page setup... Feels like pages just disappear if you don’t put them somewhere immediately.

A lot of times the #DigitalGarden scene seems dominated by developers. People who exist in in-between places like me feel a bit frustrated that the tools used - the static site generators - are so unfriendly to non-developer minds.
So, I'm glad that there are some folks who are building digital gardens on #wordpress.
I have plans to use #Obsidian and a plugin - probably either Quartz, Eveloppe or digital garden - to generate my static site one day, but this is a good workaround while I plan the possibly very complicated transition.
I did think about using #Astro but the mechanics of it seem so frightening lol
