Just about the only thing I can do with an #insomnia 'hangover' after being awake all night is doodle, scribble, sketch (dribble & retch?), so here's a 1st draft of today's benumbed effort: a grotesque (though some might say an improvement) self-portrait which tries to capture how mangled I feel.
The insomniac's dilemma: do I keep trying with the self hypnosis/quiet music/white noise/meditation to try to get some sleep or do I give up and watch a movie?

But …
My mum is suffering from dreadful #insomnia right now. We got some Nytol, but the leaflet says to check if you have #renal problems. My mum has stage 4 kidney disease, along with being on blood-thinning meds and is currently being weaned off dihydrocodeine.
On her behalf, I sent a request to the docs, and she got an appointment for a month’s time. I sent another request asking for a phone call. She got a reply telling her to go to the walk-in clinic.
Mum is #disabled and needs a lift to the docs. She couldn’t get hold of her neighbour to take her, so I’m going to drive 2 hours to take her. I don’t mind (she’s my mum!) but I hate that this is where we are. And it has to be Thursday as I can’t do tomorrow. And yes, I tried my local pharmacist, and online 111 doesn’t seem to cater for this. All we need to know is if sleeping meds are safe for her to take.
Don’t necessarily need any comments, just needed to vent a bit. ARGH!
Field trip tomorrow. Will be visiting a low carbon brick factory, glass factory and timber mill. Already late to bed. Sigh. Listening to Pink Floyd to wind down “Wish You Were Here” #insomnia #ArchitectureSchool
