Tomorrow is #Comedon day, and we'll be watching Preston Sturges's 1941 satire Sullivan's Travels.

As previously described in the paper handouts you received at orientation (you did attend orientation, right?) last week's film, O Brother, Where Art Thou?, took its title from the Sturges movie.

Sturges was the first Hollywood screenwriter to successfully transition to directing and the first person to get the "written and directed by" credit. His screwball comedies are legendary and every single one of them skewers social and class assumptions of their day.

CW: It's from 1941 so odds of some outdated views or language are good.

The watch party starts Thursday April 3 at 6:00 PM PT.
