Where did developers store their code before GitHub and other free cloud repos? 🤔

@nixCraft First it was tapes, then disks, then hard disks, then RCS repos on hard disks, CVS repos on hard disks, and now Git repos on hard disks.

I use online services as backups, but the primary storage is always local.
