@jupiter_rowland reminds me of how Misskey handles media, it stores it the same way. It's rather handy. I really would like to try out Huzilla again, since the last time I tried it and found it a bit confusing to use.
@tejan is this still in beta? I set up a hubzilla instance, so I'm trying to get this as well as federation going
If you want your channel to connect to ActivityPub, you have to activate the ActivityPub "app", also known as Pubcrawl, under Apps in the burger menu in the top right.

Funnily enough, I've looked high and low, but I can't seem to find this app. I thought it would be in the addons section but it's completely blank
By the way, you have the pubstream on? I hope you don't intend to run a public instance and show the pubstream to everyone. There's a good reason why nobody does that.
@jupiter_rowland ah I see now, very silly of me not to see this.i can connect to the zot network but not activitypub.
and i plan on keeping it as single user instance, as i learn more about hubzilla and how it works.
By default, all new channels, admin channel included, have Pubcrawl/ActivityPub deactivated because it disturbs nomadic identity. So you have to look under burger menu > Apps and not under burger menu > Admin > something.
