I asked you what OS you are using on a daily basis. The survey allowed you to select more than one OS. These are the results:
There really are a lot of Linux users here. Happy to see that. Windows and Mac are similar in size. Android is larger than iOS, but not by a much in this survey.
A few are using ChromeOS, but there is an impressive 3% using other OS on a daily basis!
@jon I'm pleasantly surprised by the results!
I understand the enthusiasm of Linux users when they discover Vivaldi and all the possibilities of adapting the browser to their needs and style of use: it's exactly the same on Linux. There's a convergence of ideas on this point.
Despite the fact that some purists cling to the fact that Vivaldi is not totally open source (say only 99.9%!)
I believe that the majority of Linux and Vivaldi users are perfectly comfortable with this.
Linux and Vivaldi: the best combination!
@jon I can see there being a bias towards Linux on Mastodon. macOS and iOS are my daily drivers but Linux is close behind them.
@jon I’d missed you could choose multiple options….. For me as well as MacOS I could have voted for iOS and iPadOS.
@jon
This latest version of desktop Vivaldi is very close to a computer desktop and makes switching between Linux and the “major” desktop systems much easier.
The widgets, the speed dial sync, the split screens: all these make the browser super powerful.
I could see a “Vivaldi book” where all a user needs is Vivaldi and nothing else. And that makes desktop Linux much more attractive.
