I know I could probably get started with just the built-in memoes-app, but that thing is kinda limited in terms of the formats you can choose from.

I've just installed tape it on both my IPad and my IPhone.
This app is everything I was looking for, except I'm a bit annoyed that I can't get stereo-recording working on my IPad, whereas on my IPhone its working just fine.
@fubsepude No problem at all. Happy to help! Some iPad models may have hardware limitations, so I’d suggest trying it out with an external microphone—it might do the trick. Hope field recording turns out to be something you really enjoy in the long run. Best of luck!
