I paid extra for UPS to deliver the Fairphone to my home, but I was just informed that they couldn't deliver it and were taking it to a UPS access point. I was at home all morning.
I guess the working conditions of the delivery people must be tough, but this happens so often. Who knows what collection center they take the package to. It is not always the closest one.
There should be a fair delivery, you can pay extra for the workers, but you get the stuff.
Edit 1: I was lucky. It was delivered in a stationary store near where I had my lunch break. Problem solved.
You're in Germany, right?
I hate to say it, but somehow, it's Germany's fault.
IDK what the actual problem is here, but this country has been, by far, the worst for deliveries t/out the EU.
So, so many cases of "we tried to deliver and no one was home" and I was right here all morning, you lying liars, and etc.
@everton137 UPS (U.S.) botched up a delivery yesterday. Was waiting for a package, app shows it was delivered, no truck to be seen. Delivery photo showed it was delivered somewhere else. Expecting another delivery from them today and I'm not optimistic it will be correctly delivered either.
This is standard behavior for UPS here in Sweden. I avoid using them as much as possible, but unfortunately, #Fairphone gives us no choice.
