Shouldn't the small team of developers at @Mastodon focus on developing the web app instead of having to have mobile apps as well? They created the most successful microblogging tool in a real federated universe and have a lot to do in terms of UI and technical challenges.
If they were an organization with a lot of money, I could understand, but that's not the case. I've more than once seen people confused with their official mobile app when we have great alternatives like @Tusky and @pachli.
It depends on what you think Mastodon's goal is.
After spending a lot of time on the Fediverse (~7 years) I realize that what most people think Mastodon is trying to do, and what Mastodon's goals actually are, are not aligned.
