I am saddened to hear that Helen Darbishire has passed away. This is a photo of her during a debate on access to information, in São Paulo, a few months after the approval of the Access to Information Law (LAI) in Brazil, organized at the beginning of the @okfn's local group in Brazil, a few months later @okbr.
My memories are of an extremely humble and competent person, whenever I encountered her or was informed about her works.

Helen left us far too early, and far certainly far too early that she deserved, given her good work.
her work with Access Info Europe was legendary.
