#KDrama
Only I started watching kdramas this 2024, and I had no clear targets to go for. From #Bulgasal to TheKing-EternalMonarch, #MrSunshine or OurBlues. Somethings I got shocked with: the alcohol is "a thing", the clasism and social pressure for money too (is the same all over the world, but it surprised me how obvious they make it visible and part of the plots). Very nice everything around food. Beautiful and amazing scenery and photography, they care a lot for it. The sense of humor: they are so naive and Candid... Lovely .

I am Dutch, like to read and do "food".
Thanks #Kdrama , ( in 99.99 % of all K-drama there will be food ), I appreciate Italian and all Mediterrane much better too.
And understand why Koreans like that, vice versa .
@drupas
" The "Clasism", we don't t have that in The Netherlands" . That is what I used to say, working on Europe continental trains, to people from outside Europe. #Kdrama has been an eye-opener for that too.
It is there, ask any non-documented worker without contract. Or high-schooled people doing volunteer jobs at festivals , hoping to find a network there.
In Holland.
@hanktank61 it is there, all over, everywhere. We, priviledged members of society, in our social spheres, do not usually have to face it, but it is certainly there, absolutely. To get a first job, when a REAL serious problem (health, legal) happens and you need help and support...kdramas just show it as it is, pure and clear
@drupas
Also , there are some kdramas about real cases of corruption and manipulation. ( Look for Sampoong Department Disaster ) . Names are changed, a thin layer of drama covering, hard critics are delivered in a way that is becoming almost impossible in the West.
Quite a few K-drama chaebols in a wheelchair, till the cameras are gone . We saw that happening in real life in our country.
