I am not a lawyer or time traveler, but from Matt’s odd statements, it appears that #WPEngine may actually win their lawsuit against #Automattic.
Matt on the other hand is “cutting off his nose to spite his face” with these measures, which is baffling honestly.

@danilasch @wordpressdotcom @photomatt Hmmmm…I do not think there are any “perfect” alternatives to WordPress, but the closest is a fork called Classic Press: https://www.classicpress.net/
There is also #WriteFreely (if a blog is what you are looking for): https://write.as
Also #MicroBlog (https://micro.blog) is a good alternative too.
@darnell @danilasch @photomatt dreamwidth.org is an independent blogging platform that deserves more support.
