One of Norway’s leading bank and insurance companies is called “Storebrand”. This sounds like a proper noun when pronounced in Norwegian, but it, of course, becomes “store brand” in English. Now I can’t stop laughing thing of them as the inferior store brand option of the banking sector. 
@daniel Big Fire in Danish. Don't think that is good name for a bank 
@ojs It started as a fire insurance company, so it’s probably named to suggest it insures you against a big fire. 
It’s a well-known company and I think of it as a proper noun. Except when I broke the illusion by referring to them in English.
