Our first recommendation for someone who wants to be better protected online is easy: switch to a #privacy-friendly #browser!
Using Vivaldi? We take your privacy seriously:
1. Our built-in Tracker and #AdBlocker lets you block invasive trackers, the biggest sources of #surveillance out there. You can set different blocking levels for different websites.
2. Cookie dialogs can be confusing. Enable the option ‘Remove cookie warnings’, to avoid the risk of unwillingly giving sites permission to create behavioral profiles about you.
3. Search Suggestions are disabled by default, so that your search engine doesn’t see what you type on your address and search field.
Go to Settings > Privacy and Security to check all the privacy-related settings.
@Vivaldi Is vivaldi still not open source? If not, why?
@krimsonbun @Vivaldi Of the three layers, only the UI layer is closed-source. This means that roughly 92% of the browser’s code is open-source coming from Chromium, 3% is open-source coming from us and only 5% is our UI closed-source code.
@Vivaldi
Leaving "allow ads from partners" enabled really helps Vivaldi?
@Vivaldi Where is the option to " Remove Cookie Warnings"? I cn't find it.
