Our new #desktop version arrives with #Mastodon integrated into the sidebar of the browser.
Discover new ways to communicate & much more in our new update. Did we say you can now stack (group) your pinned tabs?
#VivaldiBrowser #Browser
Download Vivaldi 5.6
Access #Mastodon from Panels.
Vivaldi’s sidebar of icons now integrates Vivaldi Social, our Mastodon instance.
You can also add any Mastodon instance of your choice as a Web Panel to this sidebar for a split-screen view. Easy!
Here's something neat!
Right-click on a Tab Stack and select the pin option from the context menu and free up the space an entire stack uses on the tab bar.
You can now pin Tab Stacks no matter how you prefer to use Tab Stacking - Whether open in Two-level Tab Stacks, Accordion style, or Compact.

Settings - Colorful vs Monochrome
Settings in Vivaldi 5.6 also got an update with a splash of color added to the icons and categories regrouped accordingly.
Click the gear icon (in the bottom left corner by default) to check it out yourself.
If you prefer things more monochrome, enable "Use Monochrome Settings Icons" in Settings > Appearance.

Search the web in a new way with You.com
Because you prefer to use #privacy friendly #searchengines, we've added a new one!
You.com is now on our list of integrated default search engines.
For now, You.com is only available for Vivaldi users in certain countries including the United States, Germany, the United Kingdoms, and Canada.

@Vivaldi okay okay, so now I can say I yougled it? Yousled? Yourched the web? I feel like search engine alternatives aren't thinking about how important the verb is in every day conversations.
@thenewoil what's your opinion on this one?
@Vivaldi Good stuff!
@Vivaldi I'm in Portugal
@Vivaldi This is neat. Is this your own search engine?
Hi @atomicpoet! No, You.com is not our search engine. We have a partnership with them.
@Vivaldi That's nice that you partnered with another search engine! I'll keep that in mind if I ever move away from qwant.
@TetraShot7 @Vivaldi which are the United Kingdoms?
@Vivaldi Looks cool. I can't set it as default search eng for some reason though.
@Vivaldi Can you clarify the blog post, which states that they don't share data with anyone, vs. the you.com privacy policy, which states that they do share data in personal mode with vendors and service providers?
@Vivaldi I like new colorful icons in settings!
@Vivaldi I want colors in browser icons too!
