…after #Trump took office, as #ElonMusk’s team began pressing for access to the #Treasury Dept’s payments system, ofcls repeatedly said their goal was to undertake a general review of the system. They said they would observe, but not stop money from going out the door.
But emails reviewed by NYT show Treasury’s chief of staff originally pushed for #TomKrause, a software exec affiliated w/ #Musk’s DOGE, to receive access to the closely held payment system so Treasury could freeze #USAID payments.
AND as reported (I believe by you, but it needs to be emphasized) USAID and an IG were investigating Musk & Co, I assume for bribing countries to use StarLink.
This is pure corruption, with a side of blackmail. Someone should ask Zuck and Tim Cook how they feel about Musk having the tax records of their companies -- and their personal tax returns as well.
