Earlier, #Pooch and I visited a local park we hadn't been to in a while. When we started our #DogWalk, I first was disappointed that they'd covered the rustic, pebble-strewn paths with concrete.
It was a beautiful morning so we were quite #happy. We met a few #dogs and their people along the way, so took our time and enjoyed.
Wasn't til we hit a fairly steep grade marked "Wheelchair access" I saw they'd made the entire trail wheelchair accessible! Even Happier!
Pavement is better. I have #neuropathy which makes every bump hurt. An occasional crack in pavement is much better than the constant Ka-Thunk Ka-Thunk of a sidewalk. I'm certain that I am not alone in feeling the pain of sidewalks.
@Unclepirate
Sorry to hear of your pain. As we walked along, I did actually consider its benefits and was won over at that sign. Do you have an area near you that accommodates?
Bike boulevards. Not banned to auto traffic but with the speed limit at 20mph. And I have seen an area that has paved sidewalks. I use the bike boulevard 1/2 block from me quite often.
