Calling all gamers...
What platform do you use?
Wow a lot of pc gamers! And I'm also surprised by the rate of votes for Mobile/Cloud Gaming!
BTW Looks like I missed switch, but then you can't really consider it as a main console due to hardware limitations, but feel free to share through the comments if you have a switch as well!
@ArchitS Oh really? What kind of hardware limitations are you taking about?
@PanNindyk Nintendo Switch? I think we all know it's far behind the current-gen consoles in-terms of specs, it's processor and etc is very old and it is unfortuantely the most weakest console in the market atm. Though it's great for first party games like Mario titles, not so great for many AAA third party games that require more performance and better graphics.
@PanNindyk The best handheld would honestly go to steamdeck, though I do love my switch, it is best to be used as secondary console and not as your main platform.
@ArchitS So what it's not so powerful as PS5 or Xbox? Do you really need high-end CPU and GPU to play games? There are plenty of games that don't have photorealistic graphics but they give you the most important thing - FUN. And you can find many such games on Switch, trust me
@PanNindyk I have owned switch for 3 years now, and I am very well aware of what I am talking about.
Recently for example, Rogue Company, a popular free to play game, is ending support for it's port by june just for Nintendo Switch, because it's hardware limitations is holding them back.
Apex legends is basically unplayable either. I think having fun is important as well, and for 3rd party AAA games, you are better off to have much more fun in better hardware.
@ArchitS As for 3rd party AAA games you're right - Switch is not capable to get you nice experience to play such games. But thank God there are great indie games that can be way better then AAA titles in so many aspects.
@PanNindyk I think "indie games better than AAA" is a VERY subjective topic man. I personally don't find indie games fun at all nowadays, I prefer AAA games, and not just shooters but need for speed, formula 1, no man's sky and etc. AAA games are certainly the future and next generation of gaming, they are the main space, while indie is fun, it's retro and not the main scene anymore.
@PanNindyk And in my opinion, you can run indie and retro games on steamdeck with emulation and etc, as well as get to play AAA games with top-notch graphics, it's a bit more expensive than switch, but if one can afford it, it's simply a better buy than switch.
But again, first-party nintendo games on switch is an absolute blast!!
