@tkk13909 @jon @Vivaldi the beauty of open source is that while big tech plays nicely and invests, it provides a real boost. If the community loses trust then it’s open source, so they can easily take the code and leave.

The corollary is that people need to leave the anti-social web. A great many seem to be having a problem with that, but it's really a painless and rewarding exercise. I'm now nearly 2 years Twitter free, 5+ years Facebook free, and have never felt better.
