ajaxStardust<p>Honestly, <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/@zombiewarrior" class="u-url mention">@<span>zombiewarrior</span></a></span> <br />It all goes back to that day (i think it was that day), when I was listening to all of that music. And, in particular the solo bits that <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/DavidGilmour" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>DavidGilmour</span></a> (sp?) does in <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/PinkFloyd" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PinkFloyd</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Dogs" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Dogs</span></a> from <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/PinkFloydAnimals" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PinkFloydAnimals</span></a> - there must ahve been a part w/ the <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Eventide" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Eventide</span></a> harmonizer (?) <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://bird.makeup/users/lumentide" class="u-url mention">@<span>lumentide</span></a></span> <br />But it made me think, I&#39;ll bet <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/SteveVai" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>SteveVai</span></a> probably copped some stuff from this. In fact. Some of that stuff from <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/FlaxAble" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>FlaxAble</span></a> the licks are similiar. I forget the song. maybe more than one. Someone mentioned <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mstdn.social/@alexskolnick" class="u-url mention">@<span>alexskolnick</span></a></span> - i know he had a post where <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/SteveVai" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>SteveVai</span></a> appeared at an <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/AlexSkolnick" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>AlexSkolnick</span></a> show. That&#39;s awesome!</p><p>Anyway. here&#39;s the listen:<br /><a href="https://open.spotify.com/track/2jvuMDqBK04WvCYYz5qjvG?si=eacc026e29524099" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">open.spotify.com/track/2jvuMDq</span><span class="invisible">BK04WvCYYz5qjvG?si=eacc026e29524099</span></a></p><p>So there you go. <br />Took me 10 days thereabouts to get that one out. <br />aww man. I&#39;m bleedin down there now&#39;!<br />lol. <br />ahhh. that&#39;s better though.</p>
ajaxStardust<p>Here&#39;s another must-hear classic to be consumed, front-to-back in one sitting. </p><p><a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/PinkFloyd" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PinkFloyd</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Animals" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Animals</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/PinkFloydAnimals" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PinkFloydAnimals</span></a> </p><p>1977. So that would have been just before <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/TheWall" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>TheWall</span></a> which is a kind of pivotal transformation of their sound, going more heavy into the <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/RogerWaters" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>RogerWaters</span></a> vibe for some reason. </p><p>Maybe it makes sense to analyze this one from that perspective. </p><p>Allow me, <br /><a href="https://open.spotify.com/album/3b4E89rxzZQ9zkhgKpj8N4?si=2KD6YyImTaq6kWN484qU8A" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">open.spotify.com/album/3b4E89r</span><span class="invisible">xzZQ9zkhgKpj8N4?si=2KD6YyImTaq6kWN484qU8A</span></a></p><p>&quot;Just another sad old man. Sandra Goodson<p>Pink Floyd's album Animals has long been a favorite of mine ever since I purchased it in 1977 (!) As much of a fan as I am I am not an audiophile or collector and don't pay attention to the music world anymore. Today I was made aware of the 2018 remix and decided to give it a listen to see if it was all that much different. Better? Worse? Meh? All I can say is Mind Blown! Wow. Like I heard it with new ears. Loved it. Do I prefer it over the old? Time will tell.<br><a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/PinkFloyd" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PinkFloyd</span></a> <a href="https://mstdn.social/tags/PinkFloydAnimals" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PinkFloydAnimals</span></a></p>
