Tim Greyhavens<p>Joséphin Péladan (1858-1918) was a French novelist and esoteric who organized the Salon de la Rose + Croix exhibitions in 1890s Paris. He is portrayed here by his friend Alexandre Séon. </p><p>1892. Oil on canvas. 132.5 x 80 cm. ROBIN WOOD<p>🌱Biomasse: Chancen nutzen, Risiken vermeiden! </p><p>👉 Mehr zum Thema und zum offenen Brief an die Ministerien in unserer aktuellen Pressemitteilung auf robinwood.de</p><p><a href="https://bewegung.social/tags/Klimaschutz" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Klimaschutz</span></a> <a href="https://bewegung.social/tags/Nachhaltigkeit" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Nachhaltigkeit</span></a> <a href="https://bewegung.social/tags/Biomasse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Biomasse</span></a> <a href="https://bewegung.social/tags/Energiezukunft" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Energiezukunft</span></a> <a href="https://bewegung.social/tags/NABIS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NABIS</span></a> <a href="https://bewegung.social/tags/ActNow" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ActNow</span></a></p>
Hotspur🏳️‍🌈🇺🇦<p>&quot;Coffee,&quot; Pierre Bonnard, 1915.</p><p>Bonnard is a favorite of mine, but I like the Nabis in general, for their embrace of intimate scenes and willingness to be pleasant and decorative. This little scene of a woman having coffee while her dog gets into mischief is just the sort of thing we&#39;d dlike our mornings to be.</p><p>From the Tate Modern, London.</p><p><a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Art" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Art</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Nabis" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Nabis</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Bonnard" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Bonnard</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Coffee" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Coffee</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/DogsOfMastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>DogsOfMastodon</span></a></p>

Hotspur🏳️‍🌈🇺🇦<p>&quot;Woman Putting On Her Stockings,&quot; Pierre Bonnard, 1893.</p><p>I love Bonnard. He was a Nabi, a group of post-Impressionists who embraced intimate scenes, color and pattern, and simply being decorative. They believed art could be meaningful and be attractive to the eye. The Nabis are often overlooked but I think they are worth investigating.</p><p>From the Cleveland Museum of Art, Ohio.</p><p><a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/art" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>art</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/nabis" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>nabis</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/WomenInArt" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>WomenInArt</span></a> <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Bonnard" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Bonnard</span></a></p>
Hotspur🏳️‍🌈🇺🇦<p>&quot;Laziness (La paresse),&quot; Félix Vallotton, 1896.</p><p>A nude woman relaxes on a bed, reaching out to a playful cat. Vallotton was one of the Nabis, a school of art I love. This woodcut is a great example of the Nabi love of pattern and intimate scenes.
