Ree ❤️ Vivaldi<p>New knowledge of the day: my kid&#39;s poor battered <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/KoboMini" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>KoboMini</span></a> will not charge off our charging station. It slowly *drains* battery instead! Seems to be charging nicely off the computer though. Phew.</p><p>(It&#39;s a miracle it charges at all with how battered its charging port is. Someday I need to find someone capable of properly repairing it - it probably just needs the charge port resoldered and maybe a newer battery while it&#39;s opened up - but I do not have the tools, knowledge, free time, or inclination to do it myself.)</p>
Ree ❤️ Vivaldi<p>Welp, tried to unplug a tight USB cable and I managed to break off the charging port inside the unit! (It&#39;s on an ancient <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/Kobo" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Kobo</span></a> eReader - a <a href="https://social.vivaldi.net/tags/KoboMini" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>KoboMini</span></a> - but that&#39;s my kid&#39;s beloved Kobo and if it stops working, it&#39;s my head on a platter.)</p><p>Luckily the thing still charges if held in a very specific way, but I better start looking for an upgrade before it&#39;s all held together with three screws and wishful thinking. Sigh. Better make sure I can find a matching SleepCover too.</p>
